Chapter 2 The use of technology and techniques and styles (100 Words)

So there is a lot of stuff different about the three video. Girl chewing gum was made in 1976 and it was in black and white. It had a voice over on the video. the camera stead in one place. so it did have a very old feel to it. Doll face made in 2006 it had a lot of colour and some good effects. the camera was moving sometimes to give off a good effect and it was very futuristic.
GTA mad in 2009. It was very colour full also it had edited effect logos on the side of the video and muzzle flash for a good effect. The camera is always following the main character.

Chapter 1 video reviews

The Girl Chewing Gum (1976) Director: John SmithIt is old, black and white video also very dull and boring but it was when the voice over Director what made it a bit funnier when he tallied an old man to cross the road and all most died.

Doll Face (2006) artist Andy Huang'sso one of the videos I looked at in class was Doll face.Doll face was very cool it had a lot of special effects in it and did have lots of colour to make the video more interesting for the reader. The video was a bit crazy it had a box with a robot in it. The robot had a woman's face the face was very dull it was all white. There was a old school TV that was going throw all the Channel’s on the TV. when the TV shopped going throw the Channel's it would come up with a face of a woman with a bit of makeup on and the doll would try to be like that image and put makeup on. so when the doll did finish doing her makeup the TV would move back a bit and then stop on another image of a woman with more makeup but the woman looks better. The TV goes farther away from the robot but the doll tries to get closer to the TV to see the image but gets to a shop and tries to get closer but her robot neck breaks and falls and hits the ground then slowly dies.

The latest video I have looked at was GTA real life video ( this is what I will be doing for my exp video) the movie has a lot of edited features in it like the clock, money, health, guns, map. so it is all about doing what the game does and making it your own.

6. Audience, and audience interpretation of the work (200 Words)

Was the reaction different within the group? Does this matter? Is it important that we all have one interpretation?
The work we looked at was the Table and Chairs by Robert Therrien. People had a lot of different emotions and feelings about the artwork. I did like it because it was a crazy piece as you dont see tables and chairs that big. It is OK for people to have different responses to an artwork because art is meant to mean a lot of things.

Therrien had lots of ideas based on how he makes a still life and turns it into something bigger. In the 1990's he wanted to make artwork a bit more unusual and different by using everyday items in a household and making the viewer think hard about what he is trying to do. I thought about a giant sitting down on a chair eating food.

chapter 5 My experimental video ideas

A man comes and sits down and turns on the TV and the xbox 360. He puts in a game called GTA IV. He starts to play the game but as he is playing the game something starts to happen. The TV and the lights around him start to flicker but the man does not take any notice and he carries on playing. Then the lights and the TV also the player start to flick???? He stands up but then he cannot move away. At that moment the whole room randomly starts to flash. When the flashing stopped the player's controller drops out from his hands onto the settee. The man is not in the room any more he is in the TV. He starts to go a bit crazy he does not know what is going on but you know he is in the GAME.....
I have been inspired by: video on youtube where the can is in third person view and the map on the left hand side also the time, health, money, actions. This is a link of the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWqWyRMkZA4

4. The use of exhibition space to create meaning

How does the exhibition space change the meaning of the work.
It makes the work mean something more special in its own way and also it gives it more meaning to what it is trying to say. When i was looking at the
Table and Chairs i was thinking about a giant siting down on the chair eating some food.
If the table and chairs was in a shop it would not mean anything to me it would be cool and random that's it.When i was in the gallery i looked at the table and chairs up claws i was trying to see how it was made and what the Arte's used to make it. If i was looking at it in a shop i would not go up to it there would be not pint to.
